WHERE TO?

last winter we had so much enthusiasm & hope & stamina. now, this blog has teetered off (as many do) & most of us are out of the planning stages, having moved to that place we were dreaming of.

postgrad life is more disorienting than i expected, but i am still feeling right in the middle of that hopeful scheming that started last winter. i came home for the summer, & worked two jobs while trying my best to spend time at a local bike co-op. the weather is finally cooling off & i am feeling ready for a place that is more friendly to the way i want to live; i don't want to fear death everyday when i ride my bike to work.

if there is anyone still checking up on this blog, i am wondering where you all have landed. what's it like? are you feeling settled or thinking of the next place? have you found ways to live responsible lives that you are proud of while also being creative & having a lot of fun? i'd love to hear some tips.

this summer i learned that working 50+ hours a week can screw my brain, leaving me feeling very disorganized. i also learned that august is a rough month for me, & that spending time in the park (especially with a homemade kite!) feels awesome (even when there isn't wind).

feel free to chime in.

hope you are all well...

Must Rent, so make a reasonable offer that you can afford.

Great opportunity for large family, Graduate students or non profit organization.

No section 8 unless children are over 9 yrs. old (Home is not deleaded).

This is a magnificent home on a very quiet street with great neighbors!!!

3 floors of elegant living!!!! Wonderful living and dining room areas + large eat-in modern kitchen with granite and stainless steele appliances! Nice City-Graden yard with room to grill and relax.
There are 6 bedrooms, however 5 bedrooms are large, so you can use the other two rooms as studies/offices.

That is less than $450 per person )"utilities not included".

This still leaves a large living room, Dinning room, a beautiful & cozy City Garden, and Off Street Parking. Two full baths...one with jacuzzi!!!

Extremely large basement with washer and dryer hookups, and plenty of storgae space. Again Important!!! This is a single family house and is not deleaded. It will not qualify for some Section 8 clients!!!!!!!

read me! read me!

i've been crippled with nostalgia recently. like, incapacitated! i think it's time for some memory creation, to counter all of this memory reflection.

i have some ideas:

-synchronized dance routines
-indoor camping
-building a treehouse
-costume party, with designated photographer (to facilitate future nostalgia)
-craft party!!!!!!
-bike riding
-cookout by the river
-roadtrip somewhere

let's do something.

cities i'm interested in and my own special secret house-desires

cities i'd be chill with
-Boston
-Philadelphia
-Seattle
-Olympia
-Minneapolis
-Portland (both of them)
-Brattleboro, VT (maybe only temporarily)
-Ann Arbor
-Baltimore
-denver
-i don't know, tell me more

my housing wants and dreams
-I want to live in a house that has room to have a vegetable patch in the back.
-I want to be able to ride my bicycle to some kind of cultural something. like a city with museums.
-I want to keep hanging out around bonfires.
-I want to be living with between 5 and 10 people, more if someone can figure out how to do it without disasterus results.
-I want to dumpster and grow as much food as possible, buying the rest at a co-op, or a locally owned grocery store.
-I can't think of anything else at the moment.

what do you think?
